I regret that it's so small, but it was kind of a spur of the moment deal thing.
So yeah. S'about time I made some fanart for Gibbontake.
That's THIS GUY: www.youtube.com/user/gibbontak…
The whole point of this was to explore the reality. A lot of us get known for shit, and yet, the shit people know about us is what we've DONE, but not who we ARE. Gibbon, here, is known for making videos. I'm VERY MODESTLY "known" if you can call it that for making art. I spend VERY LITTLE TIME ACTUALLY DRAWING. So much of my day that could've been art NEVER IS. So I figured... you know what Gibbontake probably does a lot? Eat Cereal. He likes cheerios, apparently.
This is an attempt at appreciating someone's natural state, rather than ... you know... THAT'S NOT HOW YOU TREAT A PERSON.
It's like a friendzone, but for fans, who don't want to talk to you, but want to talk to what you're known for.
If there ever became a guy like "The Artist Known As Cyclone Dusk", I'd probably never get to meet him. The dashing eccentric wildly creative rogue I imagine who would traipse merrily through the public psyche will never truly approximate the sad, quiet, solitary, quaint, unremarkable fellow that I actually am.
Sometimes I wonder if this is why I don't do more art. Holding myself back... from maybe that? I'm afraid to find out. And I guess that's part of the problem.
WELL OH OH HO MISTER GIBBON LOOKS LIKE I'M GETTING CONTEMPLATIVE TOOO~! Your wit is so infectious, I might have to check into a hospital.
